When you join Ameriwell Care, you don’t just start a job — you become part of a family dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities across New Jersey. We’re here for our clients, and we’re here for you.
Ameriwell Care has treated me like family from day one. When I needed flexibility during a difficult time, they worked around my schedule without hesitation. I’ve never felt more valued and supported as a caregiver.

What sets Ameriwell apart is that management actually listens. Any time I had a concern, someone picked up the phone right away. They’re genuinely invested in making things go well for both clients and caregivers.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU
Your dedication, our dedication
When you bring your full commitment to our shared mission, we give the same back. This is what being part of the Ameriwell circle means.
Your schedule, your way
We respect your life outside of work. Together, we build flexible schedules that fit your commitments — because a supported caregiver is a better caregiver.
Always here for you
Client concern? Unexpected emergency? Our answer is never “deal with it” — it’s “let us help.” Our team is just a call away, whenever you need us.
Part of our circle
You are the heart of Ameriwell Care. We see you as a valued member of our extended family, not just an employee — and make sure you feel it daily.
In it together
Life happens. Whether it’s a challenge with a client or a personal curveball, we work with you — not against you — to find solutions that put your well-being first.
Recognizing your value
Your hard work deserves recognition. We offer competitive pay that reflects your value, plus paid time off so you can recharge and return as your best self.
Growing together
We invest in your future. From hands-on training to ongoing development, we give you the tools to advance in your role and build the career you’ve always wanted.
The Roles We Hire For
Most people who join us come into one of three roles. They overlap in places, but the day-to-day work is genuinely different — and it is worth knowing which one you are actually applying for.
Direct Support Professional · Core DDD role
You support one person, consistently.
The core work of the DDD system — helping an adult with a developmental disability with what they have told their planning team they want help with: daily routines, cooking, running a household, getting to appointments, building the skills that make independence realistic. Usually one-to-one, in their own home or the community.
Home Health Aide · Certification required
Hands-on care, at home.
Bathing, dressing, mobility, medication reminders, and the practical health-related support that keeps someone comfortable at home. In New Jersey this role requires certification as a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide, issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. If you already hold it, say so when you apply.
Community Support Specialist · Out in the community
The work happens out in the world.
Getting someone to a volunteer shift, a class, a gym, a job site, or a regular route they are learning to travel on their own. Less about the activity than about the person becoming familiar and confident in places they will keep going back to.
If any of this sounds like you, we would genuinely like to hear from you. There is no long process and no need to have every answer ready — a short conversation usually tells us both what we need to know.
1
Send us an application
Current openings are posted on Indeed, and applying there puts your details straight in front of the person doing the hiring. It takes a few minutes.
2
Tell us three things
Which counties you can travel to, what hours genuinely work around your life, and whether you hold a CHHA certification or a driving license. Those three shape where a good match is likely to be.

We talk it through
Not sure which role fits, or would rather just speak to a person first? Get in touch and we will work it out together — no commitment either way.
